Private Modern Survival Training

Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate

This course will be a breakdown of the more modern elements of our Survival Standard course into a two day event. Most people forced into a survival situation won’t have to do it without any gear, especially if they are trained on what to carry. Typically when people find themselves in a survival situation, it’s because they get lost. With gear, you can live like a king and that is what this course will focus on; gear based survival! You will learn to survive with the Top 5 essential survival items that everyone should carry with them when venturing into the wilderness. We will run through all the survival priorities and how to survive comfortably with only a few lightweight modern tools.

Skills taught will include:

-Primitive Shelters and the use of modern materials to construct quick shelters

-Primitive Water Procurement Methods

-Fire making with ferro rod and other modern fire making implements

-The All Night Fire, Dakota Fire Pit

-The use of lightweight food gathering tools: conibears, snares, and yo yo’s

-Primitive navigation using watches, shadows, etc

– Lightweight modern tools and kits to carry for comfortable wilderness survival

-How to thrive and not just survive in the woods!

If you don’t have time to master the primitive means of survival, then this is the course for you. The primitive techniques can be very difficult and can sometimes take years to master if you don’t devote significant amounts of dirt time to them. This course will teach you how to use modern tools to shorten the amount of time it takes to acquire the most difficult survival priorities. Shelter, water, fire, & food! Come see if you have the skills and knowledge to survive with very little gear!

Food and Water:  Water will be provided but you will need to provide your own food of your choice.. We recommend quick field expedient meals such as our Camp Ready Meals or MRE’s. They can quickly be made at our primitive camps and won’t slow down the learning process. Our camp ready meals are the healthiest option on the market! You can also purchase food locally once you get here. Walmart and several local eateries are within a close drive away.
