Water Procurement Single Day Class
Difficulty Rating: Beginner to Intermediate
The class will begin with some basic water purification tips and then we will move on to purifying water in the wilderness. Water is one of the most important things in a survival situation and the instructors will demonstrate several methods from making natural filters to primitive boiling techniques with no pots or pans. And we will also cover the use of modern tools for cleansing water. This will be a laid back course that will not overly exert students and will be relaxing escape to primitive wilderness education. You will learn how to use a seep well, boil water using hot rocks, solar still and more.
This is a single day class. Hope to see you there!
Food and Water: Clean water will be provided but you will need to provide your own food of your choice. We recommend quick field expedient meals such as Wise Food, Survival Cave Food or MRE’s. They can quickly be made at our primitive camps and won’t slow down the learning process. You can ship these meals to the course location if you don’t want to carry them. We will store them until you arrive.
Length: 1 day/No overnight
Minimum Recommended Equipment: Fixed Blade Knife, ferro rod, folding saw, outdoor clothing, boots, small backpack, paracord, water bottle and food.
We will not provide you with any gear, so please come prepared. You don’t need much equipment for our courses, though good equipment does speed the learning process up greatly! You don’t have to buy our gear to attend the course, but you need survival gear of equivalent quality.
